She pressed warm palms to his chest and sang—a low, husky hymn that vibrated through the stone. As her voice rose, the fabric strained tighter across her breasts, nipples faintly visible beneath the thin material, hardened by the chill or perhaps by the power coursing through her. The pilgrim’s wounds closed beneath her touch, his eyes locked on the hypnotic rise and fall of her chest until consciousness slipped away.
